Last Emoji

Last Emoji

Tonight it dawned on me…that in any text conversation that I might have, I’m always feeling the need to send the last comment or emoji. And I wondered why. Perhaps this has something to do with me not being comfortable receiving. I’ve always felt more than comfortable being a giver than a receiver. But as someone once remind me (very recently), learning to receive and receive willingly, is just as important as being able to give willingly. The “willingly” part of the giving & receiving, is what I believe provides complete acceptance of both. And if you follow my blog…you know how important I believe acceptance to be. So the next time I don’t end a conversation with a happy emoji…just know I am practicing how to receive.

Undo Your Nots

Undo Your Nots

We all have too many “nots” in our lives that can impede us from realizing our goals. Undo your “nots” by simply altering what you say.  Try replacing  “I am not or I can not” with “I am or I can” in your speech.  It can sometimes make all the difference in whether we succeed…or not.

Our Path

Our Path

Our path in life, whether it be a physical or spiritual one, is just that…ours. Each of us have a path that is specifically “tuned” to our own individual and unique make up. When we try to force our path on somebody else, we are being judgmental. And when we want somebody else’s path, we are being envious. But each of these is a futile action and will only result in feelings of unhappiness. Because, although our paths may cross from time to time, we all have to be true to our own path. And that means letting us and those around us…follow that specifically designed path.

Selfies

Selfies

Recently, a wonderful soul I follow on Instagram, made a post about “selfies” on her feed and it got me thinking about them myself. Personally, I see “selfies” in the same category as “ego.” And I don’t see anything wrong with either. Thy are both just physical expressions of our spiritual nature. They only become an issue when we mistake them for our true selves. Just like an actor expressing themselves through a role they are playing, it can be a thing of beauty. But if the actor believes them-self to be the actual character they are playing…then they are only living in a false reality.
